We have upgraded our python hosting to use Python version 2.5, this provides numerous new features. We have also updated to the latest Django version (0.96) and support the Pyparsing and Pydot modules too. If you experience any problems with your web applications after this upgrade please contact us.

We are now able to offer a Java service conforming to the 2.5 Servlet and 2.1 JSP specification as we are now running Apache Tomcat 6. One of the benefits is that our users can now deploy applications containing the latest JSF components.

Our Java support is currently offline to do a software issue after performing a major operating system upgrade on our webserver, we working on this problem to resolve it as soon as possible.

We have upgraded our MySQL server version from 4.1 to 5.0, this offers several feature enhancements for our database users such as support for views and triggers. For full information see the What's New in MySQL 5.0. This should not effect any of our users' code, but we will be happy to help users that encounter problems after the upgrade.

The Python Imaging Library (PIL) which provides image processing capabilities and Docutils that processes plaintext documentation into HTML or LaTeX are now supported by our Python hosting package.

Our Java support has been upgraded from 5 to 6 in preparation to supporting Tomcat 6. Please contact us if you suffer an problems with your web applications that could be caused by the upgrade.

The webspace quota for all of our hosting packages is now five times larger. For example, if you previously had a 100Mb quota you will now have 500Mb at no extra cost.

Our sending mail server (SMTP) server will be unavailable between the hours of 21:00 9/2/2007 and 09:00 12/2/2007 due to an office move.
