Setting up an email account with Microsoft Outlook Express

1. Firstly open up Outlook Express.
2. Next click on the "Tools" menu at the top of the window then select "Accounts...".
   
   
   
   
   
3. The Accounts window will appear. Select the "Mail" tab at the top of this window, then click on the "Add" button and select "Mail...". This will start the new email account wizard.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Enter your name in the box as you would like it to appear on all outgoing emails. Click "Next >" to move on to the next step of the wizard.
   
   
   
   
   
5. Now enter your email address in the box provided. This should all be in lowercase. Click the "Next >" button to move to the next step.
   
   
   
   
   
6. Make sure that you select "POP3" for your incoming mail server. Then enter the SMTP and POP3 server names in the boxes provided. Use the image below for the correct names to enter or see our Email information page.
   
   
   
   
   
7. Now enter in your POP3 username and password in the boxes. Don't forget to tick the "Remember password" box. Click "Next >" to move on to the next step of the wizard.
   
   
   
   
   
8. The first part of the setup of your account is now finished, cick the "Finish" button to return the email accounts window.
   
   
   
   
   
9. Now click once on your new mail account in the main part of the window and then click the "Properties" button.
   
   
   
   
   
10. The properties for this mail account will now appear in a new window. Tick the box at the bottom of this window labeled "My server requires authentication". Then click on the "Settings..." button to open the SMTP Auth properties.
    
    
    
    
    
11. Make sure that the "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is checked, this will grey out all other options on this window as shown below. When done click "OK" to close this window.
    
    
    
    
    
12. Click "OK" to all open windows until you are back at the main Outlook Express window. Your email account should now be setup correctly to send and receive email through our servers.
