Setting up an email account on Apple's iPhone
This guide details how to setup an email account with an Apple iPhone using SMTP Auth.
Note:
On newer iPhones, you may need to turn off data connections first before entering the
settings below. This will then let you save the settings and then have access to the advanced
options menu.

Touch "Settings"

Scroll to "Mail" and press.

Click "Add account"

Click cOther"

Under the Heading "POP Account Information":

Name: joebloggs
-
Address: joebloggs@devisland.net

Description: joebloggs@devisland.net

Host Name: pop3.devisland.net

Username: joebloggs@devisland.net

Password: yourpop3password
-
Under the heading "Outgoing Mail server":

Host name: smtp.devisland.net
-
User name: joebloggs@devisland.net

Password: your pop3password

Click on "Advanced".

Under the Heading "Incoming Settings":

Use SSL: Set to OFF

Authentication: Set to Password
-
Delete from server: Set to Never
-
Server port: 110

Under the heading "Outgoing Settings":

Use SSL: Set to OFF
-
Authentication: Password
-
Server Port 25
