Email Information
The following information will help you set up one of our email accounts on your computer.
Server names
| POP3 (incoming) | | pop3.devisland.net |
| SMTP (outgoing) | | smtp.devisland.net |
Or, if you have a domain with us you can use "pop3.yourdomainname.com" and
"smtp.yourdomainname.com".
Sending emails
For security reasons, we use SMTP Auth on our outgoing mail server, when sending email you will
need to authorise youself with the same username and password you use for receiving mail.
Your POP3/SMTP username
Your username is always the same as the address for the account you are setting up.
For example if your email address was "jbloggs@devisland.net" then that
would be your username too.
Your POP3/SMTP password
For standard email addresses you should of received this via email when you signed up for
your account. You can view your email passwords on the "Email Accounts" page in the
Members section.
Catch all email accounts
If you have a catch all account setup for a domain then the username you need to use for that
account would be in the format of "%@yourdomainname.com". For example if you had a catch
all account setup for the domain "joebloggs.com", then the username to pickup mail
for that account would be "%@joebloggs.com".
Sending email using Encryption
We support "TLS" on outgoing mail. To make use of this
Just set your encryption level to "TLS" on your mail client.
